Building a legacy Over the years, Phoenix Glass’ quality has been consistently well recognized – not just by clients in the form of repeat business, but also by their peers in the industry in the form of industry awards. Most recently, at the 2023 Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA) Awards of Excellence, the company won two Silver Awards in the ‘Trade Contractors – Over $4 Million’ category for their work on two projects: a revitalization of a heritage Canada Post building called ‘The Post,’ and a sevenlevel industrial office building called ‘The Workshop.’ The Workshop also went on to win the Gold Award in that category. “We’re very proud,” Sunny says of that recognition. “We value that a lot. This is a small industry, and when you get recognized by your peers that really does mean something. A lot of complex and unique craftsmanship went into creating both these buildings, and to have that recognized by others is a huge DECEMBER 2023
