As an example, in 2018 the company completed an awardwinning residential tower, which was a 17-storey building consisting of a custom unitized 4SSG curtain wall including frameless glass vents, curved glass panels, and one-of-a-kind moveable perforated stainless steel screens that provide subtle artistic patterns while allowing homeowners to control light, shade, and privacy. The project also included an elegante port cochere for which Phoenix Glass designed the underlying structural steel to support and fasten their custom stainless steel panels with perforations, complex shapes, and complex radiuses to complete the façade. It also involved a lot of specialty products, including some that Phoenix Glass had never used before. Sunny says they approached that project with the mentality of “this is something we can figure out” – and that’s what they did, and the project was very successful as a result.
