“Our people are our greatest asset,” he says. “We take pride in having that culture.” That culture also extends to the company’s subcontractors and suppliers. Andrew says those relationships helped keep the company alive in the early years. When cash flow was tight and clients were slow to pay, he says that having suppliers that stood behind Flowtech and worked with them through those difficult moments made a genuine difference. “There are a couple of them that we wouldn’t be where we are now without,” Andrew says. “Developing those relationships and building credit with suppliers when you’re starting a contracting business from scratch – it’s not easy.
