– the company’s growth from a small operation into a multi-million dollar business with almost 70 employees and trusted partnerships with a number of Indigenous and non-Indigenous companies and groups. Today, using their own in-house team members, SRM is able to provide a wide variety of core services, all tailored to support the needs SteS and the surrounding communities. These services now include: environmental services; civil and infrastructure; capacity support and management; construction; industrial and mining; forestry; and more. In collaboration with their close-knit industry partners, they can also deliver environmental assessments, surveying, hydrovac services, traffic control, and general labour services. SRM’s collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach enables the company to take on complex, multiphase projects, and to see them through from beginning to end. For example, they recently wrapped up work on the ‘Highway 1 – Ford Road to Tappen Valley Road’ project, which involved significant upgrades to the Trans-Canada Highway. They were involved in that project from a very early stage, and did everything from chronological assessments, to clearing of trees, to actual highway construction involving storm drains, outfalls, “and everything that comes along with that.” Previously, SRM also proudly demonstrated their capabilities and aptitude for collaboration on their ‘Rapid Housing Project’ – an initiative they commenced after the devastating Bush Creek Wildfire in August 2023.
