Their team is deliberately structured to avoid the pitfalls that can slow projects down or compromise quality. Buildings are designed from the earliest stages with efficiency in mind – minimizing structural and plumbing offsets, standardizing the placement of mechanical systems – so that the construction team is set up for success before a shovel hits the ground. Staffing is kept at an appropriate level rather than stretched thin across multiple sites, which Alex believes is a key point of difference. “We don’t believe the less staff on site, the more you’re saving,” Alex says. “If anything, it’s quite the opposite. We want to make sure that we’re staffed appropriately and that those individuals are dedicated to a project so they’re not spread thin.” Exhale is currently on track to be completed by early fall of this year. And though the project is still under construction, the industry has already taken notice. At the 2025 BILD Awards, for example, the building won the ‘People’s Choice Award’, which is a category voted on by the public. The following JULY 2026
