JULY 2026 Mike has ever worked with, a dramatic 33-foot overhang extending out over the waterfront at Lindell Beach. There are also three full walls of glass using Keller minimal glazing – a system which all but eliminates visible window framing, with glass rising from the floor and disappearing into the ceiling. That was installed by Craftsman Glazing, based out of Port Coquitlam, “The glass, the clean metal roofline, the ACM panel – we created some systems that made everything just so clean, with no fasteners,” Mike explains. “You can walk around that house and you can’t find one fastener anywhere. It looks amazing.” The exterior cladding was equally innovative. The homeowner owns Longboard Architectural Products, a company that manufactures aluminum products engineered to replicate the appearance of wood, and Mike’s team used their materials to develop a cladding system that had never been applied to a residential home before. A hinge clip fastening system kept the exterior surface immaculate, while exterior insulation ensured the home exceeded energy efficiency expectations – even with three sides of floor-toceiling glass. Inside, Alexis of Stae Interiors carried the same minimalist sensibility through every detail. The aesthetic is clean, Scandinavian, and precise: linear lighting, planed studs throughout, and transitions between surfaces so carefully considered that the home feels less like a construction project and more like a work of sculpture. “Perfection oozed out of every corner,” Mike says.
