JULY 2026 “We don’t take on a tonne of volume, and that’s purposeful,” Mike explains. “We have a very small footprint, but very specific people. We want to keep everybody busy and everybody rolling, but we don’t want to dilute our focus. We want to make sure every client gets the same level of personal service.” The company’s geographic footprint follows a similar philosophy. Mike Lobe Contracting works primarily throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, with projects in areas like White Rock, Langley, and Lindell Beach. They haven’t felt the need to venture beyond the region – not because they can’t, but because the demand close to home has always been there. That demand comes almost entirely through word of mouth. Mike has never advertised, and he says he’s never had to. Clients are referred by architects, by other tradespeople who have worked in their homes, and by friends of past clients who have seen the results firsthand. “We have a really good reputation,” Mike says. “A lot of people in the industry know of us. We get a lot of good reviews. We’re often told – by people who would know, who work on big houses – that ‘nobody’s doing it like you are.’ Our level of detail and level of care is just really, really high.” Mike is quick to clarify, however, that the quality is not just his doing. He says Alexis, his interior design partner, is just as much of a perfectionist,
