“Morris saw a need no one else was addressing and just started building what didn’t exist,” Scott says. “It’s still how we operate. If the market can’t supply what our clients need, we design it and fabricate it ourselves.” Scott is an electrician by trade, and he first started working at Uni-Jet in 2008, doing electrical service and repair on the company’s trucks and equipment. He later left to start his own business, but re-joined in 2019 to help out with safety and HR as the company grew. When the company later restructured and created a few new positions, he moved up to the CEO role. In the years since Scott’s return, Uni-Jet has grown steadily and significantly. In 2019, the company was dispatching about 40 people on a daily basis; today, that daily dispatch list is now distributed to 60 – 65 people with over 75 employees. The fleet has expanded as well, with more than 150 trucks housed at a significantly upgraded yard and new buildings that Uni-Jet has added to accommodate the growth. “We’ve definitely grown,” Scott says. “We invested in our facilities to keep pace, so our people have the space and the tools to do the work right and do it safely.” Over the years, Uni-Jet’s service offering has also expanded. Today, that offering includes sewer cleaning and inspection, industrial vacuuming and cleaning, high pressure water blasting, APRIL 2026
