Kendall says they “really had some fun” with that space. “We used really great elements both on the interior and the exterior of the home,” she adds. “And then we won that award.” The finish product was not only well received by the company’s peers in the industry; it was also well received by the clients. “They were heavily involved in the design process,” she says. “They made it easy for me and for my design team because they knew what they wanted. They were very clear about the vision they had. And they brought materials they had sourced and found too, so it was definitely a collaborative effort, and they were thrilled with the result.” Moving forward, Kendall says that the goal for Diamond Contracting is to continue earning glowing reviews like that from clients, and to hopefully continue delivering award-winning projects in the process. She says those are higher priorities for the company than growth: “We are very comfortable at the size we’re at now,” she says. “We’ve had more staff in the past and we’ve had less staff, and we feel we’re in the sweet spot right now.
