Their commitment encompasses everything from recycling, energy and resource conservation, to waste reduction, water-based finishes and sustainable products – including their EVO™ line of cabinetry, which is an affordable alternative to their already low-emission standard line that contains no added urea formaldehyde. As part of their commitment to sustainability, AyA Kitchen utilizes their in-house developed production software to minimize waste in the manufacturing process, and then to reuse and recycle as much of their waste stream as possible. They also use waterbased finishes as opposed to solvent-based finishes, they conserve energy in their manufacturing facility by using LED light bulbs and removing unnecessary lighting, and they offset some of the energy they do consume with a 1000-panel rooftop solar photovoltaic system at their manufacturing facility. The positive impact of those efforts is reflected in the company’s certification from the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association’s (KCMA) Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP).
