The art of carpentry Over the past year, the team at Frank + Co have completed a number of highly complicated and technical projects. As an example, Frank cites a recently completed home close to their offices where the architect did both the exterior and interior planning. “That house was very unique,” he says. “It has poured concrete floors; it has concrete bridges connecting different levels; it has a conventionally hand-cut roof on it, there are no trusses, nothing pre-manufactured, it was all cut just for that house to match the design intent.” “The feedback we’re getting from that project is really great,” Frank adds. “They recently did a measure for the exterior finish on the house, and it turns out the window units that we installed are all within one-eighth around the entire perimeter of the house – which is an extremely difficult feat to manage, as it’s an extremely large house.” JUNE 2023
