In the west, they regularly service a range of clients in a variety of industry sectors, including utilities, renewable energy, pipeline construction and maintenance, and oil and gas exploration. According to Kyle Kozlowski, Vice President of Business Development, the bigger players in those sectors enjoy working with TerraPro because TerraPro’s mission is typically aligned with their overall strategy. “A lot of the bigger companies are focusing on environmental and social governance,” Kyle explains. “That means they are looking to minimize their environmental impact, and that’s what we do. That’s what access matting is all about, it’s about environmental protection. That’s what all our other services spun out of. That’s always been a part of our business.” In order to achieve even more alignment when it comes to environmental stewardship, TerraPro has also recently invested in tracking and improving some of their sustainability indicators. For example, they are now tracking how much waste they are diverting from landfills by recycling and reusing their wood, concrete and asphalt. “In general, we’re getting creative on how we can minimize our carbon footprint,” Kyle says. “We’re launching different green initiatives.
