Right now, they are focusing more on those goals than growth. “What we’ve experienced over the years of doing this is we go through growth cycles,” Ryan explains. “We grow for a few years and then we level off and get used to that size, we make sure everyone is comfortable, and then we head for another growth spurt. At the moment, we’re in one of those levelling off periods.” “We’re probably going to stay at this size for a while,” he says. “When we start feeling good about the economy, and when we’re positive that we can grow without compromising our quality and our service, then we’ll look to take it to the next level.” As for the kind of work they want to do, both in the near and long-term future, Ryan says they want to keep challenging themselves: “We’re really good at complicated projects,” he concludes. “We’re good at the difficult projects that require more of an expert eye.
