Shoreline Aggregates Inc. is a Newfoundlandbased company that produces, crushes, and exports various construction aggregate products for the global market. From their quarrying and port facilities in Port Rousse near Baie Verte, they specialize in custom crushing and screening for large scale projects and resource-based property owners, and they act as a single point of contact for customers across the Eastern United States, Gulf States, and Caribbean. “We’re like a one-stop-shop,” says Scott Bailey, CEO and owner. “We’ve strategically developed alliances internationally that allow us to logistically coordinate shipments all over the world.” “We drill and blast the rock, we haul it to our crushers, we crush it, we bring it to our wash plant, we wash it and stockpile it, we convey it to the ships and we load the ships, and then the ships go right to our customers’ offloading part,” he explains. “We have stevedores that unload the ship and convey it to stockpiles. Then our logistics partners come in, they load the materials into trucks and bring it right to our clients’ plants.” “Not everybody can offer that service,” he adds. “Most of the time if a customer is working with a rock supplier, they have to find their own ship and find their own port to go into. We have that pipeline already established. We make the process incredibly simple.” Shoreline was officially incorporated in April 2016, though the company’s roots in the industry are much deeper. Their parent company, Guy J. Bailey, was originally founded in the Town of Baie Verte in 1963 by Scott’s father. At the time, the town was booming thanks to the start of an asbestos time. Guy Bailey arrived in Baie Verte MAY 2026
