The Construction Source

MAY 2026 “If you want to work four ten hour days because that works for you, we’ll put you on a crew that’s working four-tens. If you need extra hours on the weekend – maybe you’re saving for a down payment on a house – we’ll find you extra hours. We’re always just trying to find a way to make it work for everyone.” That same relational philosophy guides how Mr. T Contracting works with the tradespeople and suppliers. The company maintains a tight roster of preferred subcontractors – a handful of plumbers, electricians, and drywallers on each side of the operation – and treats them with the same regard as full-time employees. Subcontractors are invited to Christmas parties and company barbecues as a matter of course. “Our subcontractors are part of the team at the end of the day,” Erin says. “We couldn’t do what we do without them.” Moving forward, Erin says the company’s goal is to continue fostering long-term and loyal relationships with subcontractors, direct employees, and clients alike. Powered by those relationships, they hope to keep growing – but not too quickly. To date, the company has been growing at approximately ten percent per year across each of its markets, and the plan is to sustain that pace. According to Erin, the next major move is a southward expansion into the Kamloops area, establishing a new home base to serve that market more directly. Having already extended the company’s reach northward, Erin sees the southern expansion as the logical next chapter. “I’m not interested in rapid expansion,” he says. “I want to keep our steady growth and keep going steady.”
