MARCH 2026 Over the years, Launch Construction has collaborated with the daycare client on multiple occasions. The company built that client’s first house, for example, then when the client’s family grew and they needed to upgrade, they hired Launch Construction to build their second house. A lot of their work together has come in under budget, including the daycare. Brad credits that record of cost efficiency to Launch Construction’s strong estimating team and their many years of experience. On the daycare, for example, they spent “a lot of time in the beginning sourcing the best-priced windows, choosing the right HVAC contractors, and even introducing some modifications to the HVAC system making it more cost-effective.” “That’s where the years of experience come in,” Rick adds. “Having that experience means we’re able to offer suggestions that help save money.” Moving forward, Launch Construction’s goal is to continue saving their clients money, both on residential projects and commercial projects – and they want to do more of both. “We want to continue down the path we’re on,” Brad says. “We want to keep building beautiful homes, but we would also like to branch out and keep the commercial side of the business moving. We’ll definitely be pricing more commercial jobs over the next few years. It’s all gratifying work. The community here has lots of great people, and we enjoy helping them however we can.” As for the size of the company, Brad believes they are right where they want to be – they’ve built a “well-oiled machine,” he says, and he doesn’t want to compromise that. He also doesn’t want to grow beyond the community he loves so much. Getting bigger would likely mean expanding their geographical reach, and he doesn’t want to do that. “I don’t want to spend my days driving down the highway to different towns and provinces,” he concludes. “I love where I am. My team loves it too. We just want to keep serving the people here to the best of our ability.”
