There’s a great opportunity there to make a really significant impact – which is why we started the company in the first place.” “One of the biggest things we’re always looking at is how many people we’re helping,” Chris adds. “Every time one of our homes gets produced, we know that somebody is going to be getting out of a bad situation, and that means a lot to us.” Lastly, in order to make an even larger impact, Mezzo Homes also looking to scale up and upgrade their capabilities within their own factory near Selkirk. Currently, they are able to produce three houses at a time within that factory. After consulting with some engineering firms about their processes and how they can be optimized, they are now in the process of upgrading that factory. When they are done, they project they will be able to build eight homes at a time, and they will aim to build about 100 homes per year. “There’s a real need for these homes,” Chris concludes. “We feel a responsibility to meet that need and to help as many people as we can live with dignity, like we all deserve to.”
