MARCH 2026 simplicity of traditional framing, but a 2x8 wall is heavy,” Doug says. “I wanted something more energy efficient and lighter. This just seemed the easiest way to do it.” Looking ahead, both Enerwise Homes and Thermoframe are positioned for thoughtful growth. After successfully implementing the system in recent builds and achieving strong performance results, the next phase is manufacturing and distribution. “It can seamlessly integrate and then up their performance,” Doug explains. Early feedback has been strong. “Everybody we’ve presented the idea to has been quite receptive,” he says. Doug points to the scale of the North American housing market as a clear indicator of opportunity. “They build about a million single-family homes a year,” he notes. “Why not aim for a portion of that?” At the same time, his vision remains grounded. Thermal Frame is focused on low-rise residential construction, where it can deliver the most practical impact. “For homes under two stories, townhomes, duplexes, that kind of thing, the sky’s the limit,” Doug says. As both the company and their technology continue to evolve, the underlying philosophy remains unchanged. It is not about chasing trends or scaling for the sake of growth, but about improving how homes are built and how they perform over time. Doug highlights, “I want to build something people can actually afford.” That balance between innovation, accessibility, and long-term thinking is what ultimately sets Enerwise Homes apart. It is a company shaped by experience, driven by curiosity, and focused on building homes that are not only efficient, but resilient in every sense of the word.
