reshaping the company’s leadership, refining their approach to customers, and solidifying their reputation as one of the most trusted names in the window and door industry across Western Canada and beyond. Today, Berdick’s reach extends well past the Manitoba borders. Their products are sold from Northwest Ontario through Saskatchewan and Alberta, and south into the upper Midwest of the United States – Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana. They also serve the Boston area on the East Coast and maintain a strong dealer partnership as far away as Fairbanks, Alaska. Rather than selling direct, Berdick operates through a carefully selected dealer network, and that network is central to how they do business. “Our business is all about partnerships,” Sheldon says. “We don’t really have traditional customersupplier relationships anymore. We have partners and we take those partnerships seriously.” Project wise, Berdick serves the full spectrum of residential construction – from new builds and renovations, to single-family homes and multifamily apartment blocks – with project values ranging from several hundred dollars to hundreds of thousands. All products are tested to the latest NAFS and NFRC standards, and Berdick handles shop drawings, painting, and staining entirely in-house. The company also has an end-to-end ERP system that allows their team to track every order through the production process and give contractors an exact delivery date. JUNE 2026
