Berdick Windows & Doors is a longstanding and industry-leading manufacturer of custom PVC windows, fiberglass windows, and residential door systems. Since forming over 50 years ago, they have consistently grown and evolved, adding to their product offering, expanding their capabilities, and bolstering their industry reputation. Today, they are a company known throughout Western Canada for their qualitydriven manufacturing, their industry-leading warranties, and their best-in-class service. “Berdick Windows & Doors is a company that provides peace of mind,” says Sheldon Fehr, the company’s general manager. “Customers know that we will look after them – 100 per cent of the time.” The history of Berdick dates back to the 1960s, when two entrepreneurs called Bert and Dick Groenheide combined their names and started designing and producing aluminum slider windows out of their garage. In 1969, to meet rising demand, the two eponymous founders teamed up with Abe Wiebe and started a manufacturing plant in Winkler, Manitoba. Over the following decades, the company expanded their product offering to include PVC windows and insulated steel residential doors, and they grew by leaps and bounds as a result. Abe purchased Berdick from his business partners in the mid-1990s, the company continued to grow, and in 2009 the current ownership group purchased the business from Abe. Sheldon personally joined Berdick in 2015, bringing a deep background in window extrusions to his role.
