Davel Construction is a family-owned landscaping and masonry contractor based in Georgetown, Ontario. For almost 20 years, they have been serving clients across Halton Hills, Caledon, Brampton, Oakville and Burlington, providing them with a fully transparent service and transformative results. Today, they are well known for specializing in complete outdoor transformations – “no patch jobs or quick fixes,” says David Maturana, the founder and owner of the company, “but full-scale projects that change how you use your property.” “Our clients have usually been thinking about their outdoor spaces for a while,” David says. “Maybe they drive up to their house and know the front could look better. Maybe they’ve got a backyard that their family barely uses because it doesn’t feel like a real living space yet. Or maybe they’re ready to finally build that outdoor kitchen you’ve been talking about for years. That’s exactly the kind of work we do.” David has personally been working in the construction industry since the early 2000s, when he got his start working for a waterproofing company that also took on patio and terrace projects atop high-rise condominiums. That experience introduced him to pavers, concrete products, and the fundamentals of working with stone. The waterproofing side of things, however, left him cold. “It was very monotonous – the same thing every day,” David recalls. “It didn’t really stimulate my mind. I wanted to challenge myself a little bit more.” He also didn’t love depending on an employer to keep him busy through the winter. “I kind of thought, if I have my own company, I can control my own destiny, so to speak.” JULY 2026
