address feedback from customers and ensure consistent product standards. Gustavo explains, “We hired a new person in crushing, and now the quality is pristine. We have testing on site to make sure we always comply with city and provincial transportation specifications. People love our aggregates because the sand compacts very easily and consistently, which helps with slabs on grade jobs, roads, and other applications.” Operations are closely coordinated with external engineers who manage permitting, air quality monitoring, and water quality compliance. These relationships are collaborative and essential for long-term operational success. As a result of this combination of service, quality, and reliability, Hillstone has been able to build some strong and long-lasting relationships with their clients. According to Gustavo, many of Hillstone’s customers have been with the company for seven years or longer. “The customers we attract today stay because they know they can rely on us. We don’t just sell material and walk away. We get into the jobs, we understand their needs, and we make sure they can meet their production quotas. That builds trust.” Even though larger suppliers may offer financial incentives, customers often return to Hillstone because of the quality of service, the single point of contact, and the predictable delivery. At present, Hillstone is preparing for a new phase of their pit, moving extraction from the east side to the west. Permitting with Rocky View County is underway, and this phase represents a critical step in ensuring continued supply. Gustavo THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE CANADA
