roles, and together they are able to offer clients a complete integrated design and build service, from concept all the way through to completion. Over the years, that turnkey design and build service has resulted in the successful delivery of a long list of complex, high-performance projects, for an equally long list of highly satisfied customers – which is reflected in Frontiers’ many glowing client testimonials, as well as their history of referrals and repeat business. Additionally, Frontiers’ excellence has been recognized by their peers in the industry in the form of awards and accolades. In 2025, for example, at the 2025 CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence, they were a finalist for ‘Best Exterior Renovation’. In 2025, Frontiers also won multiple OHBA Awards of Distinction, in categories including ‘Outdoor Living Space’ for a project just south of Guelph in Puslinch, and ‘Mid-Size Renovation’ for their work on a high-performance home in Arkell Village. That Arkell home, nestled in the heart of the village, is actually the personal home of company owner James Savoie and his wife Katherine. When they purchased the property back in 2018, it was a small hamlet abode that was over 150 years old. James saw it as an opportunity to extensively overhaul the building and demonstrate a philosophy of homebuilding that had become near to his heart, as well as the hearts of his fellow owners – he wanted to build a home that was highly energy-efficient, and in so doing he wanted to demonstrate the link between energy performance and comfort.
