When it comes to The Ensuite in particular, Joshua says they get a lot of people walking in and saying “I had no idea you were here.” To address that awareness challenge, the Stratford team is now in the process of executing a marketing plan based around: social media (which they recently hired Meghan Landers of Meghan Landers Creative to manage); community involvement (i.e. sponsoring youth sports); and more visible public branding (they have historically done their deliveries in a plain white truck, but are now in the process of getting a wrap that advertises Emco & The Ensuite Stratford and their vendor partners.) When it comes to their wholesale business, meanwhile, Joshua plans to spend more time on the road meeting current and prospective customers. His belief is straightforward – once contractors experience the service, communication, and instock reliability, they’ll expand their business with Emco Stratford. Most importantly, Joshua says that the Stratford PC will continue demonstrating the advantages of Emco’s decentralized model – local leadership empowered to tailor their business to the needs of their market; a team that operates as true partners; and a culture that values listening, accountability, and long-term relationships.
