FlexSpace is also capable of handling requests of any scale – according to Lucas, that flexibility is central to their value proposition. They can provide a small business with 200 square feet of self-storage-style space, and they can also provide a large business with a 40,000-square-foot warehouse. Their association with StorageVault Canada and their network of third-party owner operators makes that flexibility possible. No matter the size of the client, FlexSpace will also provide them with the same level of personal and responsive service – and Lucas believes that responsiveness also sets their company apart. When talking to new clients about their previous pain points, he says they often hear that their provider simply didn’t respond quickly enough. FlexSpace, however, treats responsiveness as essential, and the team applies both technology and culture to execute on that commitment. “Technology has come a long way but our industry tends to be pretty traditional,” says Lucas. “The tools to enable effective communication are there, but a lot of companies don’t use them. We invest in them, and we go deep on integrating them to give our clients the best experience.” One example: FlexSpace is integrating conversational AI to triage missed calls, including after-hours inquiries. “If there’s an actual emergency, the system alarms our team until someone responds,” Lucas explains. “It’s a rare occurrence, but leveraging technology to its fullest helps us deliver exceptional service.” FEBRUARY 2026
