SAVI Industrial is a relatively new name in Ontario’s ICI construction space, but the experience behind the company runs deep. Founded in mid-2024, the business draws on more than 20 years of combined experience from their leadership team. Luis Vives, the company’s president and CEO, is a mechanical engineer with a master’s degree in operational excellence, and he comes from a background in manufacturing operations. His move into construction came after he was inspired by the principles of lean construction, and he formed SAVI with the goal of putting those principles into action. “I was fascinated with the opportunity of eliminating waste and making things more efficient – coordinating with trades, reducing lead times, and ensuring quality,” he explains. Luis first gained hands-on experience in subcontracting work, focusing on fireproofing and specialty coatings. When the opportunity arose to start a company of his own, he partnered with David Sasso, whose industry experience spans fireproofing, spray polyurethane foam, and flooring systems. Together, they launched SAVI Industrial with a clear vision: build a company capable of delivering technically demanding projects on time, while maintaining flexibility across a wide range of scopes. Today, SAVI Industrial offers a broad suite of services, including intumescent and cementitious fireproofing, spray polyurethane foam insulation, firestopping, epoxy and sport flooring, painting, concrete, steel fabrication, and acoustical insulation. While the company is fully capable of handling smaller projects – they’ll sometimes take on projects compact as a single-room acoustical installation completed in a day – they FEBRUARY 2026
