AUGUST 2026 Elijah points to his web developer, who he met while doing a basement renovation. That renovation resulted not only in a website, but in a steady stream of referrals. One of those referrals was a project around 2020, when the referred client needed to flip a home following a family bereavement. Working within a budget of approximately $100,000, Elijah and his team completed a full renovation in four weeks – updating every bathroom, removing popcorn ceilings, installing pot lights, and delivering a new kitchen. The home had been expected to sell for $835,000 but ended up selling for $1.35 million. According to Elijah, the clients were “very happy,” and the relationship has never faded. VFB returned to the same client’s home the following winter to renovate two upstairs bathrooms, and they are currently working through the main floor and basement. “We’ve got a lot of clients that call us regularly,” Elijah says. “I think that says a lot. I think it’s what happens when you finish the job properly and stand behind your work.”
