Lester says he regularly runs into the client at a nearby coffee shop, and their exchanges are always enthusiastic. “The relationship has been very, very good,” he says. “They’re very happy and their feedback has been very positive.” Moving forward, Lester’s goal is to do more complex and creative projects of that size and scale, in both the residential and commercial sectors. He says projects like that are the ones that get him and his team excited about coming to work every day. “The ones I really enjoy are the ones that have some heart and soul,” he says. “Taking something that has the potential of being simple and just putting a little twist on it – giving it that architectural beauty in a way that’s cost-effective but has some punch. That’s the kind of work we want to do.” As for size of the company, Lester says they have room to scale if needed, but that’s not what drives him. “The name of the game isn’t growth. It’s simply serving our clients and keeping them happy. If we need to grow to keep up with demand, then we will – but that’s not our initial goal. Our goal is meeting our clients’ needs.”
