The pipeline has since been relined, and Uni-Jet is scheduled to return to complete warranty videos to confirm liner performance. “It turned out really well,” Scott says. “Seeing our gear and our people perform together at that level was impressive.” Day to day, Uni-Jet balances major programs with a wide range of ongoing work. Recently, the company wrapped a contract covering more than 100,000 meters of residential sewer in Winnipeg, followed by another 120,000-plus meters in Regina. At the same time, crews were inspecting new pipe across subdivisions in the Winnipeg area, while another team was at work more than 120 feet below ground in a deep tunnel, clearing solid debris and preparing the surface for a custom liner install. Moving forward, the company’s goal is to stay busy and keep growing. In the near future, they plan to open another office in Alberta – likely in the Calgary-Edmonton corridor – to improve service responsiveness and reduce costs associated with mobilizing crews and equipment from Winnipeg. “We have a lot of really good customers out there,” Scott says. “An Alberta base will let us cut travel fees and pass those savings on, while also positioning us to take on more work out West.” Beyond that, Scott says the company has plenty of room to grow even bigger and expand even farther. The only limiting factor is people. They currently have more equipment than they have team members, and their challenge is just finding the right team member to fill those roles. To that end, Uni-Jet is always searching for people who are reliable, hardworking, eager to learn, and willing to travel. Provided they can find those people, Scott says “we don’t really see a limit to what we can achieve.” APRIL 2026
