Some of those relationships even predate the founding Lekadez Construction – Olalekan started working with them while still a site supervisor with other firms, and then when he launched his own company they followed him over, which is a testament to their mutual trust and admiration. Moving forward, Olalekan’s goal is to continue growing alongside those partners. With their support, he wants to expand the company, get into bigger projects like estate homes, and eventually branch out into development work. One of the company’s long-term goals, for example, is to develop “some nice affordable houses in a wellplanned community.” Within that community, they intend to offer some rental properties, which would be a second source of revenue for the company. Another goal is to keep getting bigger and adding staff. According to Olalekan, the team at Lekadez has been expanding steady year over year, and he sees the company continuing on that trajectory. Ten years from now, he envisions a company with somewhere between 20 and 50 people – and potentially one that operates beyond Saskatchewan’s borders. “We already have clients that have moved from this province to another province, and they often call us and ask for recommendations for other contractors, because they trust us so much,” Olalekan says. “So if we started expanding into
