For Jerry, securing the project was the result of meticulous planning, diligent number-crunching, and careful preparation. “I spent a lot of time crunching numbers and bidding on the job,” he explains. “It’s always rewarding when you get the work.” Beyond the initial bid, the project has presented numerous technical challenges, particularly with native soils that required extensive compaction testing, soil sampling, and concrete analysis. Despite the difficulties, Jerry views the work as deeply satisfying. “It’s probably the biggest project in the area right now, and I’ve made some great friends along the way, especially with the contractor, Maple Reindeers.
