A notable example came during a major flood in Lethbridge in 1995, when the Mayor of the City of Lethbridge, David Carpenter, personally commended the staff and the company for responding in the middle of the night with pumps that helped protect the city from serious flooding from the Oldman River. “That recognition stood out because it wasn’t just an award – it was a thank you for stepping up in a moment of crisis,” Kayode reflects. “It showed what we stand for: urgency, responsibility, and technical excellence.” Looking ahead, Sego Canada is pursuing a bold but clear goal: to become a true one-stop shop for pump technology in Canada. The company is expanding their services to cover everything from design and specifications through commissioning, training, and long-term maintenance. “Our intention is that when customers think of pumps, they think of Sego,” Kayode says. “Whether it’s an irrigation system, a submersible for a lift station, or complex municipal infrastructure, they should be able to come to us for every stage of the project.” Ultimately, Kayode reiterates that what sets Sego OCTOBER 2025
