highly appealing, he says, due to the history and reputation of the company. “Fred is very well respected in the industry,” he says. “He’s a very hard working guy and everyone I talked to said he was an awesome gentleman to work for.” Shortly after joining, Andy was involved in the company’s largest project to date in Langley, where they installed 15 overhead cranes and 17 jib cranes in a new facility for Accurate Fabricating. “So literally my first job was to basically run this entire construction site – hire a field welder, do inspections, deliver material, oversee all the fabrication installation of all these overhead crane systems. Since then, it’s been one job after the other.” These days, Mussell Crane acts as a manufacturer and supplier to clients spanning the commercial, military, and government sectors all over Canada and the United States. Their projects can range in size from standalone jib cranes that can lift a couple hundred pounds, all the way to cranes with lift capacities up to 20 tonnes. “It all depends on the requirement of our customer,” Andy explains. “We can service just about everybody. If a customer has any lifting requirements, we can provide a solution that meets their needs.” According to Andy, a big part of what draws clients to Mussell Crane is their ability to provide a turnkey service.
