Mussell Crane Manufacturing is an Aboriginal owned and operated company based in Chilliwack, BC, primarily focused on the design, fabrication, freight, installation and service of overhead bridge cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, and custom design material handling equipment. Since forming over 30 years ago, in 1991, they are a company that has evolved by leaps and bounds, greatly expanding in terms of products, services, and capabilities, and building an unrivalled reputation in the region for the experience, expertise, and dedication of their staff. “Our team of professionals are well educated, energetic, resourceful, and dedicated to meeting all of our clients’ material handling needs,” says Andy Hellemann, production manager. Our objective and commitment is to pursue never ending improvement in quality and design, ensuring that our clients receive the very best possible product.” Mussell Crane was originally founded by Fred Mussell, a member of the Skwah First Nation, who started out with just $15,000, a small garage, and a desire to build cranes. From those humble beginnings, he built up a business now equipped with production facilities totalling over 60,000-square-feet, with a production output of approximately 200 cranes per year. Andy, meanwhile, personally comes from a deep background in welding and fabrication. He first became acquainted with Fred while working at other shops where Mussell Crane came to install cranes.
