enough to be able to come to the table and find that resolution and find it quickly. Time is money in this industry, and we want to make sure that we’re protecting our clients’ investments as best we can as consistently as possible. Over the years, The GeoFocus Group has built up a team of consultants and trade partners that reliably tick all three boxes. According to Adam, some of those relationships started with his father and go back 40-to-50 years. Some relationships are newer, however, and Adam stresses the importance of developing those as the company moves forward: “Growing new relationships is what’s helping us to grow and scale,” he explains. “Everyone has a limit, or a capacity. Not all of the companies we work with can grow at the same rate as us, or want to grow at the same rate as us, and we understand that. That means building new relationships is really a key for us and for our clients. We need to make sure that we have a good roster of consultants, architects, and engineers to ensure that when we scale we’re not losing that efficiency or competitiveness across the board, and we’re able to maintain the same speed and quality.” Once again, when it comes to building those new relationships, the company’s history has proven very useful: “I would say our experience and expertise in taking over projects gives us that ability to build relationships quickly,” Adam says. “When we used to do that, we were typically dropped into a new market. We may have never worked in that market before, and we needed to be able to navigate who’s reputable and who’s not. That’s given us a good insight into how to vet contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers quickly. It’s given us the ability to pick out the partners who will be able to deliver for us.” One example of a reliable partner would be sTrack Energy – a Toronto-based consulting firm focused on decarbonisation, energy, and sustainability for new and existing real estate. By operating at the intersection engineering, technology, and software, sTrack helps real estate stakeholders navigate complex energy markets and make long term decisions for their properties in the most economical and sustainable manner. As a company committed to maintaining sustainability in all their projects, The Geofocus Group typically places a high value on sTrack’s input and advice. THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE CANADA
