Delivering something meaningful According to both Clint and David, one of Ironclad Earthworks’ most defining characteristics is the company’s fearlessness. In Clint’s words, “we pursue the jobs others get scared of.” “We love to do the jobs people say can’t be done, or that others get timid about,” he explains. “We do a lot of in-stream work, bridges, and dams. Even our civil infrastructure work tends to be the complicated kind – interchanges that require tight earthmoving programs and schedules tied to import, export, and rock handling. Those are the jobs that get us excited.” As an example of such a job, Clint points to the company’s involvement with Aecon Transportation West on the Deerfoot Trail Improvement project in Calgary – which is a provincial project to upgrade the city’s busiest freeway.
