Moving forward, in collaboration with those kinds of partners, Bredin Brothers aims to keep growing and keep taking on larger projects. Currently, they are doing a particularly large project for a neighbour of a previous client – they are knocking down the existing building and building a new cottage, a new guest house, a new garage, and massive three-slip boat house. Emerson calls that kind of project a “legacy project,” and he hopes to be involved in a lot more of them. As for the size of Bredin Brothers, Emerson aims to eventually double in terms of personnel, but then probably stop there. He says the company “will always be a luxury custom home builder in Muskoka and the surrounding areas,” and he never wants to lose sight of that mission, so there’s not unlimited room for growth. However, Emerson is personally interested in exploring the multifamily development industry under a new company Bredin Developments.
