“We’re always around,” he adds. “We’re always there. We always pick up the phone. We’re not perfect – no one is – but when there’s a problem we are the people who are going to find a solution.” Will – who’s been in construction management for 20 years – says the importance of accountability cannot be overstated, and in his experience it’s unfortunately rare. “Throughout my career, whenever there’s a problem, I’ve always stepped up and said ‘I’m going to see this through and find a solution,’” Will explains. “That’s still the way we operate today. We tell that to everyone we work with. We take absolute accountability for anything we’re involved in. I think that’s a big part of what sets us apart.” Looking back, Will and JP first met in high school at St. Michael’s College School in Toronto, and they have been friends ever since. Professionally, they started working together while JP was running a property management company called Domus Property Management and Will was running a construction management company called Moosehead Construction. Whenever JP needed a renovation done at one of his properties, he would always turn to Will first – not just because they were friends, but because Will provided the best quality on the market. For a long time, Will and JP had talked about teaming up and starting a company, but the timing never quite seemed right.
