double their business every year, purely on the back of clients recommending them to their friends and family. “We’ve been growing based on 100 per cent word of mouth,” John says. “We’ve been so busy, we haven’t had to advertise.” The growth of Wolf Homes is not only a credit to their customer service, however – it’s also a credit to their quality, which John says they never compromise, not on spec homes and not on homes for clients. According to John, “quality is something we really live by.” “No matter what I’m doing in my life, I try to do it 100 per cent right,” he explains. “I’m a little bit OCD. My wife would say I’m perfectionist. I can’t let things go. My trades know that. They know that I take quality very personally.” Speaking of trades, John says he’s formed some very strong relationships over the years, and he believes that’s because of his team mentality. “I tell everybody that I work with that nobody works for me,” he says. “Everybody works with me. That’s my mentality. I believe that in this business, trades are everything. My job is to find good trades, bring them together, and give them the space to do what they’re good at. I think that’s a big part of wh trades like working with me and why I think I’ve been successful.” THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE CANADA
