Wolf Homes, located in the heart of Southern Ontario, is a small but growing family business, with a growing reputation for doing some of the most interesting custom homes in the region. The company was co-founded in 2018 by John and Lisa Wolf, both of whom were new to the construction industry at the time. Despite their inexperience, the company achieved quick success. Right from the jump, John and Lisa proved their passion for quality and their commitment to client satisfaction, and they gradually forged Wolf Homes into an industry-leading bespoke homebuilder. Prior to forming Wolf Homes, John came from a farming background – he actually still owns a farm – and worked as a diesel mechanic, while Lisa worked in a factory. They started their construction journey by building their own personal home, with John doing as much as he could himself in order to save money. The endresult turned out so well that people started taking notice. “We actually had somebody approach us and say, ‘We want a home built just like yours. Could you build it for us?’” John recalls. “We said ‘We would love to’ – because we had just fallen in love with building. We had learned that that we just loved to build.” In the years that followed first home, John and Lisa did a mix of spec homes and custom homes for clients. To this day, John says they strike a good balance between those job types. He likes doing both because it allows them to fill up their schedule during slow times and keep their team busy.
