During their 2022 strategic planning, the partners reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close mentorship and hands-on involvement. “We aim to keep a one-to-ten leadership-to-staff ratio,” Aleksandra explains. “That lets us grow sustainably without losing sight of the details.” MMP’s portfolio is evenly distributed: approximately 40 per cent high-rise residential, 40 per cent healthcare, and 20 per cent corporate. This diverse workload reflects both regional demands and the firm’s agility. In healthcare, for example, MMP is leading a $30-plus million expansion of Lakeshore General Hospital – a critical upgrade for the rural community of Ashern. “These projects may not be flashy, but they’re essential,” says Dustin. “You have to understand rural logistics and deliver facilities that will perform for decades.” MMP also recently completed an inpatient renovation and emergency department upgrade at a northern Manitoba hospital, strengthening their expertise in patient safety and compliance. In residential design, MMP’s high-rises are reshaping Winnipeg’s skyline. “With towers, we think beyond units,” Dustin explains. “We focus on how our buildings contribute to the streetscape and the surrounding community.” One standout is the Smith Street Lofts, a transformation of former government housing into modern, market-rate lofts featuring double-height spaces and curtainwall glazing.
