The Construction Source

Founded in 1936 as Moody Moore & Partners, MMP Architects has evolved over the course of nearly nine decades into a dynamic Winnipegbased studio known for architectural innovation, integrated interior design, and strong community ties. Today, under the leadership of partners Aleksandra Chomik, Dustin Sharrow, and Russell Krepart – representing the firm’s sixth generation of ownership – the firm continues to balance their legacy with forward-thinking design and clientcentered solutions. Aleksandra joined the firm fresh out of school, drawn by its reputation for both stability and creativity. “I was inspired by projects involving CLT design and rammed earth,” she recalls. “MMP offered the consistency I was looking for, with the freedom to explore emerging technologies.” Dustin, reconnecting with Aleksandra after completing his master’s degree, was likewise attracted by the studio’s collaborative energy. “We knew we worked well together,” he says. “Joining MMP felt like more than joining a company – it felt like joining a shared vision.” That vision is grounded in local roots and impressive credentials. All three partners are graduates of the University of Manitoba, with Russell earning his master’s at the University of Texas before returning to teach. The team also includes more than seven registered interior designers, allowing MMP to deliver integrated architecture and interiors from the outset. “We approach every project holistically,” says Aleksandra. “That alignment gives clients clarity and results in environments that function beautifully – inside and out.” MAY 2025
