Total Plumbing and Heating is a proud familyowned-and-operated business that has been serving the commercial and residential needs of clients throughout North Central Alberta for over 20 years. Throughout those years, they have grown considerably as a company – they have expanded their team, added to their capabilities, and increased their geographic reach. Today, they have a staff of 80-plus working across three branches in Edmonton, Westlock, and Kelowna, BC, with plans to keep adding to their employee count and keep opening new branches. David Broesky, president of Total Plumbing and Heating, first joined the company in 2006, becoming a partner alongside his brother shortly thereafter. Prior to his involvement, the company was run by his father under a different name, but it was never a significant enterprise – his dad enjoyed working in the field a lot more than he enjoyed running a business, so he always kept the company to one or two employees. When David and his brother came aboard, it was with the intention of assuming the management responsibilities and taking the company to the next level. “When we started, there was just four of us,” David recalls. “It was me, my brother, my dad, and one other guy. Then we grew the team to 20 staff. Then my dad retired, and we just kept growing. Over the course of about 19 years, we grew from four people to 84 people, basically.” These days, Total Plumbing and Heating takes on a variety of projects throughout all their locales. According to David, they do it all – everything “from your grandma’s kitchen to a multi-milliondollar mechanical project.” They also do a lot of service work – David actually says “we’re a serviceMAY 2025
