The Construction Source

MARCH 2025 their business comes from word of mouth, with many of their larger projects stemming from previous clients recommending them to others. This word-of-mouth success is a direct result of the company’s commitment to providing highquality service and building lasting relationships with clients. “A lot of our bigger projects come from customers who’ve used us in the past and recommended us to others,” Joel explains. This repeat business speaks volumes about the trust and satisfaction that CDN Buildings has earned over the years. The company’s success is also reflected in the relationships they maintain within their team of 77 staff members. CDN Buildings takes pride in having a positive and supportive culture, which Joel attributes to the family-oriented environment fostered by the Dendekker family. “We have a pretty relaxed environment here, where every division has their own culture” says Joel, “we’re family-owned, so it’s personable”. This culture of mutual respect has helped CDN Buildings retain long-standing employees, including a truck driver who has been with the company since their inception and several fabrication team members who have been with the company for over seven years. CDN Buildings’ relationships with suppliers and vendors have also contributed to the company’s success. Joel describes these relationships as collaborative and mutually beneficial, with many of the company’s suppliers being integral to their ability to complete projects on time and within budget. “Our relationships with our suppliers are really important,” Joel says. “We’ve worked with many of them for years, and they are an integral part to keep our projects moving forward.”
