MARCH 2025 Maintaining control Over the years, Woodbecker has developed a diverse portfolio including commercial, office, and residential work, with most of their recent work focusing in the hospitality sector. Currently, they are working on a live music venue, as well as a laneway house on Main and Danforth, along with a veterinary clinic at Avenue Rd and Eglington. Woodbecker also recently completed two new sales centers for developments downtown, which they are particularly excited about. The company enjoys doing sales centers because their designs tend to be carefully considered, and the standards of quality are high. “Developers really spend money on quality of work because it’s the first impression they are making on potential buyers – and first impressions last,” James says. “If they get people through the door to look at the presentation center, they want to wow them with the design. So doing those projects gives us the chance to work with
