The Construction Source

MARCH 2025 A major accomplishment Currently, Camphill Foundation is involved in the construction of a two-bedroom house in downtown Barrie, which reflects their new commitment to individualized living. That home started with the organization being gifted a bungalow on the property, though the foundation wasn’t structurally sound and a complete tear-down and new build was required. To realize that new build, Camphill turned to the Barrie Construction Association (BCA), whose members have stepped up and given generously of their time and resources in order to give back to the community. Matt Wanless, owner and president at Bulldog Construction, came aboard as the general contractor on that project. Duivenvoorden completed the successful demolition, doing the work for a significant discount. Multiple other BCA members pledged their support and donated their time. Construction is now completed and the goal is to have the home occupied by the end of March.
