The Construction Source

A key component of Studio One’s continued success is their ability to adapt to the changing architectural landscape. The firm stays at the forefront of technological advancements, integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM) and sustainable design principles into their workflow. Their commitment to environmentally responsible architecture is evident in projects that prioritize energy efficiency, adaptive reuse, and the thoughtful selection of materials. Looking to the future, Studio One Architecture is at a pivotal stage of growth, taking on increasingly complex and large-scale projects. “We’re getting more and more complex and bigger projects. It’s something that we’re really proud of,” says Jim. However, the firm remains committed to sustainable growth, ensuring that expansion does not come at the expense of their core values. “We would like to think about growing a little more, but in a sustainable way,” adds Shoghig. “We want to keep our staff, as we’ve done from day one, even through recession times. We want to stay hands-on and maintain strong relationships with our clients.” Rather than evolving into a large corporate entity, Studio One aims to remain a boutique architectural firm, valuing their direct client interactions and hands-on project involvement. “I think we wouldn’t see it as a big corporate company,” Shoghig reflects. “It’s more about keeping it as a boutique firm where we can still deal directly with clients and be actively engaged in our projects.” This philosophy ensures that Studio One continues to prioritize relationships, quality, and innovation as they look ahead.
