business, and prior striking out on his own he worked for a directional drilling company in Edmonton. In the years since, Triple A Directional Drilling has evolved into an industry leader, particularly when it comes to projects that are complicated, and maybe even considered undoable by other companies – according to Brook, those are projects “Triple A rises above the competition.” In recent years, Triple A has also become recognized for their work on large projects, and for their ability to turn those projects around at an efficient pace. For example, one of the company’s largest projects to date was a 36-kilometre 10inch pipeline that involved over 8,000 metres of directional drilling. The company completed that project in only three months. That efficiency and speediness – combined with the quality of the work’s work, which Brook says “speaks for itself” – has enabled Triple A to form some very strong and close-knit relationships with clients. Brook credits the company’s growth almost entirely to the strength of those relationships. He says they do a little bit of advertising online, but “we really haven’t been that aggressive, just because we don’t have to – the majority of our work comes from word of mouth.” Triple A has also successfully formed strong and close-knit relationships with their team members.
