Daena Cox, Business Development & Marketing Coordinator, adds the company’s fitout specialists “know the local suppliers and have perfected workflows for tight timelines.” Their second stream tackles ground-up developments – mixed-use buildings, industrial facilities and multifamily complexes – with values from $4 million to $10 million. “If it’s under 10,000 square feet or fewer than a dozen units, we pass,” Steve says. “Our systems, people and suppliers are set up for larger scales.” Current work includes a $9 million staff-accommodation complex at Lake Louise Ski Resort, a $8 million affordable housing complex in Canmore, and a $5 million church featuring a distinctive timber-frame design. “We really thrive on complexity,” Steve explains, “but our preconstruction planning means we never lose sight of budget or schedule.” Finding and keeping clients relies on a two-pronged marketing approach – traditional advertising and targeted social media campaigns combined with “boots on the ground” relationship-building, Daena explains. Together with their marketing contractor, Bow Valley Marketing, she develops annual plans tied directly to sales and revenue targets, crafting content that celebrates both ACS and the clients they serve. “We’re proud of this work,” Daena says. “So we don’t just promote ourselves – we showcase the community.” At the same time, Daena manages quarterly Net Promoter Score surveys for clients, suppliers and JUNE 2025
