The Construction Source

Again, Mark believes the reason for that loyalty is their company’s longevity, and the reputation they have worked so hard to establish and cultivate over the years. He credits that reputation, in turn, to the calibre of service they provide their customers. “Our goal is to build relationships with clients that last a long time,” he says. “Part of that is being easy to work with – we don’t give our clients’ headaches. Part of that is getting the job done right – and getting it done right the first time, so we don’t have to do it twice. That’s seemed to work out quite well over the years.” “I feel like we’ve developed some really close relationships,” he adds. “I feel like most of our contractor clients would rather work with us than anyone else, even if we’re a little bit more expensive, because they know we’re going to do what we say we’re going to do, and they know we’re going to do a good job. They know they don’t have to worry about us, and I think that goes a long way.” Many of Stankewich Drywall, Painting & Decorating’s client relationships have lasted decades, Mark says – a lot of them were actually started by Dwayne and inherited by Mark, and are still going strong today. The company has also formed relationships with newer contractors, who haven’t been around that long, but have been consistently working with Mark and his team since they first entered the market. Mark considers that loyalty to be the very best possible indicator of their satisfaction. The company also enjoys similarly longstanding and loyal relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors. According to Mark, they keep that list pretty small – “we work very closely with a couple key suppliers, and they supply pretty much everything we need,” he says. Those relationships also largely started with Dwayne and go back to the inception of Stankewich Drywall, Painting & Decorating. JUNE 2025
